At New Look Contracting Inc. (NLC), we realize that the completion of projects and long-term goals are only possible with a safe and healthy workforce. Since 1988, our commitment to safety has grown with our company, as evidenced by one of the lowest EMR numbers in the industry. We have a longstanding commitment to safety being intelligently and practically applied in the field.

NLC’s innovative approach to safety also includes the use of data management and cloud-based software. Our field safety data is automatically uploaded to cloud servers and is accessible to our office within seconds of being uploaded. This cloud-based software automatically aggregates the data into an easy to read “dashboard,” showing us a real time snapshot of all incidents, meetings, inspections, safe/unsafe observations, and near misses that have been submitted from the field. Having this instant feedback allows our safety manager to react quickly to possible safety concerns, analyze potential areas of improvement, and set long-term goals.

We utilize Tyfoom, our safety platform and a video-based microlearning platform application, to standardize best practices and ensure retention with bite-sized content. A consistent cadence and repetition of topics through short video content builds confidence in our employees and delivers a safety-first mentality throughout our Company.
